In 2021, I co-developed a four-day conference on Black affirmation, healing, solidarity, and Afro-Puerto Rican island and diasporic identities. I organized this with community-based artists and activists at Chicago’s oldest Puerto Rican arts organization. In 2022, I served as an educational consultant for the conference’s second installment.
