In 2021, I co-developed and organized a four-day symposium on Black affirmation, healing, solidarity, and Afro-Puerto Rican island and diasporic identities. Organized with community-based artists and activists at Chicago’s oldest Puerto Rican arts organization, where I also served as an educational consultant for the symposium’s second installment in 2022.
