I was an Artist-in-Residence at Instituto Sacatar, an international art residency program in Bahia, Brazil, in collaboration with Stanford University’s Committee on Black Performing Arts / Institute for Diversity in the Arts.
I experimented with the mediums of drawing, sewing, embroidery, installation, video, photography, graphic design, and performance. I exhibited the results of this engagement at Open Studios. I presented a multimedia installation using organic materials, textiles, and a video collage of film, text, and photography. I also produced a live performance with the installation.
Below are still images of the multimedia installation and performance at Instituto Sacatar in Bahia, Brazil.
